Our Shipping Policy
Once your order is shipped, we will e-mail you the tracking number so you can track your shipment online or via telephone. If you did not get an email, please do not hesitate to call or email us to get your tracking number. Please understand that transport times are estimated and cannot be guaranteed. Berkshire Furniture will attempt to ensure a prompt and safe delivery. However, your items may arrive later than the estimated date and time due to geographic location, weather, seasonal demand, or supplier’s delays or simply transport issues. Its impossible to control the shipment once its on its way. We do have good communication with our transports and will do all we can to make smooth delivery for you.
If deliveries are via other transports services rather than our own truck then they are normally scheduled Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Special delivery arrangements may include evening, weekend, rush or delayed delivery. Please contact us prior to your order shipping to review any of the above requests. Depending on the request, additional fees may apply and you will be contacted for approval. If your order shipped with a freight carrier, you will be contacted for an appointment by the freight carrier or delivery agent ahead of time so that you can plan your schedule accordingly.  If you miss a pre-scheduled delivery, a re-delivery fee may apply, sorry it’s not us, it is the transport policy.
Upon delivery, be sure to inspect the packages for damage before the driver leaves and verify the number of boxes delivered with the delivery receipt. Once you sign for the boxes, you are indicating you accept the furniture in good order and the delivery firm is clear of future claims, so be sure to open all boxes in front of driver and note all or if any damages on the receipt. Keep in mind that the packaging is there for protection, and if any boxes is damaged it is not necessary an indication of product inside of it being damaged also. But none the less on delivery please open all boxes and check them out. Any damages must be clearly noted on delivery receipt of driver and driver witness. Then we can file claim with transport.
Notes to remember:
1: –Â Â Â Once you have received email or phone call or been issued a tracking number, the order is shipped and can no longer be cancelled or modified (Please see our Return/Exchange Policy). A processing fee may apply for any change of address requests after an order has shipped.
2: –   It is the customers’ responsibility to ensure the furniture will fit through hallways, doorways, or any such area. Berkshire Furniture will not be held liable should your order not fit into your home, or should damages occur due to improper measuring.
3:Â – Â Â For remote deliveries or unusual geographical locations, orders may need to be adjusted to include extra delivery fees. No additional fees will be charged without notifying the customer and obtaining prior approval.
–   All freight deliveries require that an adult be present to inspect and sign for the shipment. Under no circumstances can the items be left outside of the house or apartment unattended.
